Experience Overview

This cycling tour follows a scenic 14 km route (customisable) through the rural landscapes of Nasu. Starting and ending in the historic Ashino post town on the old Oshu Highway, riders pedal along quiet forest paths, terraced rice paddies, and charming countryside roads. Highlights include a hidden bamboo grove, a rock-carved roadside shrine, and the famous Yugyō Yanagi willow linked to poet Matsuo Bashō. Along the way, a local guide shares stories of regional history, culture, and everyday rural life.
