An Artful Escape from Nasu’s Northern Highlands to Sacred Nikko
Travel from Tokyo to Mashiko to encounter one of Japan’s most renowned pottery traditions through a studio visit, artist talk, and town stroll. Continue to Nasu for a vintage craft beer tasting before settling into the elegant ryokan Nasu Bettei Kai, where hot-spring bathing and a seasonal dinner invite deep relaxation. The second day explores Nasu’s satoyama countryside, beginning at the legendary Sessho-seki and continuing by e-bike through historic villages, terraced rice fields, and hidden bamboo groves.
